This September will see the launch of the Renewables Awards, which has been established to inspire industry to greater heights. With a top prize of £10,000 courtesy of Plumb Center being awarded to the winner in the Renewables Installer of the Year category, businesses are now being invited to get involved.
Designed to reward individuals and initiatives, and recognise projects and products, businesses can enter the Renewables Awards by choosing which categories they wish to be considered for. Categories include:
• Commercial Renewables Project of the year • Residential Renewables Project of the year • Renewables Client of the year • Contribution to Renewables • Renewables Apprentice of the year • Renewables Safety Initiative of the year • Renewables Training Initiative of the year • Green Invention of the year • Commercial Installer of the year • Water Efficient Installer of the year • Heat Efficient Installer of the year • Energy Management Installer of the year • Biomass Installer of the year • Air Source Installer of the year • Ground Source Installer of the year • Solar Installer of the year • Renewables Installer of the year
Judged by a panel of industry experts including Peter Thom, the Managing Director of Green Heat, businesses can enter the Renewables Awards between 1 June and 31 August, 2011.
The inaugural gala event will take place at the Ricoh Arena, in Coventry on 8 September, 2011.
The awards are part of the Renewables Roadshow, which has been designed to bring a zero-jargon approach to the very latest renewable energy technologies and training to trade professionals across the UK. Commercial and domestic technologies on display will range from air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, solar photovoltaic panels, solar thermal panels and other heat efficient technologies.
