Heating engineers have been named as the most trusted source of advice in a recent consumer survey.
1 in 2 consumers (53%), go to a heating engineer when looking for advice around a new or replacement heating system and 9 in 10 are happy with the advice they receive.
The survey, published on 7th February 2019, was carried out by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) public attitudes tracker, which collects data on public attitudes 4 times each year.
Speaking about the survey, HHIC Director, Stewart Clements said: “Heating engineers are consistently cited as the most trusted traders in Britain. I am delighted to see that they continue to receive the recognition they deserve.
“Heating engineers are one of the most highly trained and scrutinised professions of all the trades. This latest recognition is testament to the honest, reliable and hardworking industry that continues to deliver customer satisfaction and high quality workmanship for gas heating systems in the 85% of UK homes that rely on gas.”
